Then assisted by R. J. Salatun who acted as Secretary of the Indonesian Aviation Council. Then on September 22, 1962, the Early Scientific and Military Rocket Project, called PRIMA, was formed.
For the first time the project created by PRIMA was successfully launched using two Kartika I series rockets in 1964. Then on November 27, 1963 it was finally formed into the National Institute of Aeronautics and Space or LAPAN.
